Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she’ll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she’ll give you a home. If you give her a smile, she’ll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of s**t.

Comment 2 – Why Woman Cry?

A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him.

“I don’t understand,” he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will.”

Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?”

 ”All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say.

 The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?”

 God said: “When I made the woman she had to be special.

 I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

 I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

 I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

 I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

 I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

 I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

 And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.”

 ”You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

 The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart – the place where love resides.”

This colleague of mine is currently undergoing serparation from her hubby – due to some reasons which I don’t wish to say. Whenever I look at her, I can feel my heart breaking. She still has 2 young boys and she’s woring. Life’s just isn’t fair to her. Yet, she is still so strong.

When I got to know about this matter, I was truely shocked… I always thought she has this wonderful and happy family. Till she said, ” Don’t just look at appearances… Sometimes, everything is a facade…”

I don’t understand why things has managed to deteroriate to such a state. I really hope things will work out fine for her…. Jiayou dear friend…. I know you can do it….

18/10/2009 was the date when we say our vows:

“I will spend the rest of my life taking care of you and paint our future colourfully together. With this ring, I now marry you.”

1 whole year has passed. How time flies… Listening to Lee KY’s  eulogy to his wife, I think it is really important to have someone share your joy and pain together. And Mr Lee KY has all the love from his wife for 61 years.

Like you hubby, I really hope to spend the rest of my life with you. This is the 1st year  and counting….

Thanks for the short note that you have written and hidden in my bag this morning…. It really make my day…

Was so damn tired from work. But the sight of Mummy greeted me at the door and the enthusiastic: “你回来了！这么晚!” perked me up instantly. So nice to come home to a familiar and 慈祥 face plus extremely nice home cooked food.

Since hubby can’t make it for dinner, Mummy decided to pack him dinner. The sight of seeing my parents fuss over hubby’s dinner even though they didn’t have dinner warms my heart. They keep asking me if the food was enough for hubby or not…. And the mention of  “忘了买明天的早餐” got my Mummy busy again: packing tmr breakfast for me.

这种家庭温暖和父母的呵护让我好想哭。Realise that everytime after dinner, I always feel so sad that I’m leaving them and going back home. Sian is right… Spend more time with your parents….

Next 2 weeks, hubby won’t be around… So happy that I’m moving home. Mummy’s voice was kinda hoase yesterday… Think she is developing into a cough… Shall bring her 琵琶膏 on Sat….

Really looking forward to the stay….

I’m starting to get used to married life but there are still many things to learn and to adjust to, like buying grocery, thinking about breakfast tomorrow, preparation of breakfast, laundry… Something which I dun have to worry about in the past (thanks to mummy) but it is a major chore to me and hubby. Adjusting to each other is another aspect which I realise is very important when living together. I am not use to the ways how hubby does the household chores and I believe hubby is not use to the way I go about doing the chores… More than often, he will question and ask me why I ended up doing the things in this manner. It takes time  and compromise is definitely the fundamental of a good relationship. Let’s work hard together hubby.

1st week into my marriage and I missed home terribly. Calling my mummy every now and then. My homesickness is getting slightly better now. Though till now, I still chatted with her every night. We take turns to call each other. Haha… This is also the reason why Hubby hurriedly went to sign up for a home phone line with starhub.

Going back to mummy’s place for dinner tonight.

Simply estatic. Can’t wait.

I find this last installment to be the most meaningful. It is those kind of movie which you tell yourself that you will want to watch it again. Sian is right – cherish what you have. Don’t be so complacent with life and take things for granted. Cos once you lose what is the most precious to you, you can never reverse the whole situation in life, not like the ones you see in fairytale when things can still go back to where it was at the beginning…

On a lighter note, this movie makes me laugh as well. My favourite character is Puss In Boots. The (fat) kitten is so funny lah.. Yakking away in Spanish and so so so lazy. I believe its hubby’s favourite character as well!

People, if you haven’t already watch this…. Pls go watch… I believe you will love it. Trust me.

After the movie, we dropped by Taka to buy pots for our home. I didn’t know pots and pans can be this expensive. In the end, we bought for our new home a shiny WMF 3-pcs cookware at $99.

The pots look something like this but it only comes in 3 pc set. When I told my brother I bought this the next day, that (irritating) brother of mine casually remarked:

“你都不是很会煮，买这么好的 pots 干吗?” That no good bugger. Not even a word of encouragement. Had my mummy laughing like mad after that…. My family is so bad can….

2. Your friend lugged around a heavy bag, consisting of curler, cosmetics, etc and painstakingly took a transport down to Xuan’s house so that she can be my make-up artist. Though she was already uncomfortable due to the hot weather, she still willingly do it for me. While doing the curling of my hair, she keeps suggesting on the different way to tie up my hair so I can look my best. She even help me do up my make-up and help me apply eyeliner, lipstick, etc (Cosmetics which I am too lazy to apply and suck at it). She is also my part photographer, who took lovely photos of me and the gang. Thanks Ting for being the lovely make-up artist as well as photographer.

3. Your friend already so tired from looking after her child still make an effort to make an appearance on my hen’s night. She also came out with all kinds of witty comments and makes everybody laugh. She also acts as a GPS for Jer so that we can get to the various place fast and ERP-less. She also double as a deejay, ensuring that I get to sing all the fast-paced songs. Thanks Sian for making me laugh for the night!

4. Your friend act as a chauffeur and bring you around to the dinner venue and the KTV place. Even though, she was quite bored waiting for us to doll ourselves up, she never make much complaint. She even change into a black shirt so that we can look good together. Thanks Jer for being our chauffeur for the night.

5. Your friend sing along with you during the KTV. Thanks shi for doing that.

Ladies, I seriously enjoyed my hen’s night tremendously. Love you gals for the thoughtful planning. I am very lucky to have found you.

Though I have already told Mummy to buy the bare mimimum, she  still went ahead and bought a whole lot of stuff for my 嫁妆 in the end. She said this is for 好兆头 and wants us to have a good start on our lifelong journey together.

Thanks Mummy. You are the best! I love you!
