Call from Dearie’s mum…

September 29, 2008 · 3 Comments

Keke… Dearie’s mummy called and asked if I know Dearie is coming home tomorrow. Told her I did and she proceed on to ask me how’s my life and work getting on. Best part, she even asked me if I feel bored with Dearie not around.

Thought it was sweet of her to call and ask. See Dearie… Think your mummy really likes me alot.. So better refrain from bullying me otherwise I shall complain to her. HeHe… ;)

Random Thoughts

Cheating boyfriends… I guess no woman is so magnanmious as to forgive and forget when she caught her boy cheating on her. Saw Xuannie’s blog and have alot to ponder. I don’t believe that I can forgive the person even if the guy said its just a one-night stand with no strings attached. I don’t even know how to trust the guy again. How much trust can you give a guy? And when that trust is broken, how do you come to term with it? I honestly don’t know. I can stand by alot of theories but I think when things really happen to me, I believe I will be at a loss. Things are ALWAYS easier said than done.

Something Sian said last Friday hit home. I guess sometimes we have to 看开on certain issues. Things will turn out less complex and be alot better. I guess I just have to learn.

天大的事,睡一觉,明天就会好。。。 How so very true. 有时我们需要这份信念,日子才会过得开心点。

My Favourite Girls!

September 28, 2008 · 3 Comments

我们又 meet up 了!嘻嘻!I was talking about the meet-up with the ladies last Friday! The meet-up was a blast and absolutely fantastic. Helps take my mind off work as well as lift my lousy mood off due to the fact that I was seriously missing Dearie who is on an overseas assignment.

Anyway, we did loads of catching up on each other lives as well as delved into serious topic with regards to cheating bf/spouses over dinner. I just love talking to them. Exchanging ideas / opinions with them allow me to reflect alot on myself as well on my relationship.

We went to sing our fustration away that very night. Ha Ha! Had a jolly good time belting out the different songs with the girls! From oldies to the latest mandarin and english pop. Damn.. Its an extremely good way to destress. Oh! And its my first time ordering Jasmine green tea. For your info, I’m not a tea person. Got a nice taste to it though the girls complain that its kinda sweet. Anyway, the green tea that looks like beer to me because of the top layer of bubbles.

And of course, how can we not photo-whore on such occasion – where all 5 lovely sweeties are here? Jer, the next time we shall have a complete group photo! My favourite groupie shot:

And we love monkeying in front of the camera!

I love you sweeties to bits! Muacks! :) Ohhhhh… Thanx Siannie for remembering my birthday pressie! Love it! :D

Can’t wait for our upcoming chalet!

OUCH?!

September 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Overnight, I have literally transform myself into an old lady. It has been quite a while since I have felt this way. Even the 10 km  run has not caused such wreck to my body. I am SERIOUSLY aching from head to toe. The unbearable pain from walking and climbing stairs is enough to make me wince. I am not exaggerating here. Honestly, who could have thought a harmless game of badminton can turned me into what Dearie coined as a “temporary cripple”.

Our school had the annual cluster games yesterday and I was being asked to played badminton for the school. Though quite reluctant to participate in the game, I must say that I do enjoy myself yesterday. For that few short hours, my mind was for once not thinking about work. No worries about the messy table (AGAIN! – I had just tidy it last Fri) due to the stacks of umarked Homework, tests and Mock exam, meeting deadline and such. Nontheless, our school still lost. Must be due to the lack of practice on my part. A bit paisei due to the fact that a whole bunch of students were looking at us play. O well…

Anyway, I awoke to fatigue and pain this morning. I have to walk quite slowly to overcome the ache. Hopefully, the ache and pain will go away soon. Oh manz, I felt like a young girl trapped in an old woman’s body. Age must be catching up on me. Zzzzz..

Where’s the promised massge you are supposed to give, Dearie? I’m in serious need of it now!!! HELP! :(

Singapore Flyer

September 9, 2008 · 1 Comment

Always have been fascinated by the hugh observation wheel tucked away in the bustling area near Marina Square. Heard from my colleague that this hugh wheel is supposed to bring good luck and fortune. Apparantly, the company has heed the advice of various fengshui masters and spend millions of dollars ensuring that the wheel now turn in the other auspicious direction. (Can’t remember whether its clockwise or anti-clockwise) Wow!

Actually, the real reason for going is to curb Dearie’s relentless beseeching of wanting to visit the Singapore Flyer. And me being the nice girlfriend that I always am (=P), decided to accompany him there last Friday – To reward him for working so hard for his overseas work assignment and also to have an early celebration for our monthniversary. And of course, with him footing 75% of his own bill. Keke.. Just a little note here: Due to Teacher’s Day, all the teachers are allowed to ride for free and family members and friends are entitled to a 25% off.

And so, we make our way there after dinner. Presenting the shot of the tickets we bought that will allow us to reach the pinnacle of Singapore and also a guaranteed breath-taking view of the night life of Singapore.

This is the spacious cabin we are are supposed to ride in:

I was drinking in the enthralling sight of the night view of Singapore. Must admit that the view is quite enchanting from the height we were at plus I get a birdeye view of all the tall skyscappers. And Dearie was busy taking photographs of the colourful neon light which change colour every now and then. Here’s a picture of the bustling night life of Singapore. Pretty isn’t it?

And then Teacher Sim decided to educate me about Singapore’s landmarks and directions. Even have a few quizzes to test my general knowledge – which I flunked rather poorly. He pointed to one of the building and asked me to guess the name of the building. My lousy answer of Vivocity had him laughing and telling me, ” I didn’t know Vivocity is this close to Suntec City.” Then he point to a different direction and said, “That must be Sentosa then.” So much for being a good sport in answering his question. (-.-”’) How was I to know that the bloody building is Millenia Walk! All the buildings look freaking similar at night.

All in all, we have great fun scaling to the pinnacle of Singapore and increasing my general knowledge of the different buildings in Singapore. And of course, how can we not take a photo together against such enchanting backdrop? =P

From Dearie, with love…

September 8, 2008 · 3 Comments

Dearie noticed that my hands are kinda rough and asked if I did too much housework. Haha… Actually no, I have not been helping much at home these days. So sorry, mummy. =( Ok, I’m digressing here.

Anyway, he came home from his overseas trip last friday, bearing my monthniversary pressie. Presenting the AHAVA Mineral Handcream:

The cream is supposedly manufactured using the minerals from the dead sea, that’s why you are guaranteed to have long lasting soft, smooth hands if you use it. Plus it is quite a popular brand back in the country he went to. Also came across an outlet selling this particular brand of product in Marina Square. LOL! Sounds like an AHAVA sales promoter here. Keke..

Anyway, thanks for this lovely pressie, Dearie! Happy Monthniversary to us! =)

Happy 中秋节!

keke… Its going to be 八月十五 again this coming Sunday! Though our family is not a great fan of mooncakes, Dearie still insist on buying a box of mooncake for mummy and daddy. Came over to our house yesterday to specially deliver the mooncakes. There we have it: The very lovely 冰皮月饼 from Marriott hotel and the little 小猪猪 in a basket from Goodwood Park hotel.

And Dearie’s 贴心 little note telling us the various flavours of the mooncakes:

The 小猪猪  are my personal favourite! Hehe…

Love you loads for the effort and thoughts Dearie! You are such a sweetie! I believe I will very much love 月饼 from now on. Muacks! O btw, you forgot my lanterns. 嘻嘻!=P

I wish…

September 3, 2008 · 1 Comment

Last Saturday, while out strolling with Dearie near the Fullerton Hotel area (our favourite hangout place), I saw Sian’s parents, together with her sis and hubby. Saw that Sian’s parents are holding hands while they strolled. Thought its kinda sweet and cute. After so many years of marriage, they still manage to remain so lovely-dovey towards each other. Makes me feel so envious towards them.

Looking at this, I wish there and then that my special someone will grow old with me, will remain as doting towards me as ever and still continue to do all sweet stuff, like holding hands. *sigh*

Don’t know why I became so sentimental when I see the image of sian’s parents holding hands. Though not to worry, marriage is not on my mind yet.
